How to create an Easter Egg in Photoshop?

Follow the steps below and watch the video tutorial:

Step1.

CREATE AN EGG SHAPE

Fill the background of any colour you like (colour used in the tutorial: #fffffc). Use the Ellipse Tool and draw a circle. Fill the circle of any colour you like.

Go to Edit–>Transform–>Wrap.

Click on the top of the circle and holding the button move the mouse up:

Step2.

ADD EGG PATTERN

Create the new layer. Use Pen Tool and draw kind of broken shell/ zigzag shape.

Right click on the path and select Make Selection…

Press Shift+Delete (in Mac OS) to fill the path (used colour in the tutorial: #fefae0). Use the Pen Tool again and draw a similar path on the top of the egg. Fill the path.

Create a new layer. Draw a triangle shape by using the Pen Tool in the middle of the egg. Fill the triangle (used colour in the tutorial: #ef6f51):

Create a new layer. Draw a second triangle shape by using the Pen Tool on the top of the first triangle. Fill the triangle (used colour in the tutorial: #f4a261).

Create a new layer. Use the Ellipse Tool and draw two flat circles:

Create a new layer. Use the Ellipse Tool and draw two circles (used colour in the tutorial: #ffb4a2):

Create a new layer. Use Rectangle Tool and draw a square. Fill the square (used colour in the tutorial: #f2cc8f). Drag this layer at the bottom of the Shell/ Zigzag path.

Hide the background and the egg layer by unticking the eyeballs in the layer panel. Right-click on the Rectangle layer and select Merge Visible.

Make an egg layer visible (click on the eyeball).

Create Clipping Mask: Hold down Alt (Option in Mac OS), position the pointer over the line dividing two layers(rectangle layer and the egg layer) in the Layers panel (the pointer changes to two overlapping circles), and then click.

Merge the visible layers:

Step3.

SHADOWS

Change the colour of the background (used colour in the tutorial: #8ecae6). Use the Ellipse Tool and draw the flat circle in black:

In the Layers panel, reduce the opacity of the circle to 20%:

Right-click on the rectangle layer and select Blending Options…:

Tick Inner Shadow and set the opacity to 40% and the Blend Mode to Multiply:

Step1.

Create a new document. Set the colour of your background layer and type your text.

Step2.

Right-click on the text layer and select the Blending Options.

Go to Gradient Overlay:

You can see your text with the gradient effect now:

In Gradient Overlay panel you can choose the already existing gradient or create a new one in the Gradient Editor.

Step3.

Select or choose new colours and create a new gradient.

To create the gradient below I used three colours: #72a862, #2af598 and #05747b:

Here is how you can make your own animated GIF step by step. Let’s get it started! 


Note: Before you’ll start making an animated GIF you have to get your images imported and ready to animate. So, if you have a series of images ready to go we can go to step 1.

Step 1: Load images to Photoshop.


Load your images into stacks. From the top menu. Go to File->Scripts->Load Files Into Stack. This option allows you to load an entire range of your images, rather than needing to drag each one to your document individually.

Step 2: Set up your timeline. 


Open the Timeline window (Window->Timeline). Once you have selected the Timeline option will appear at the bottom of your screen.

Step 3: Make Frames From Layers.


Press the button on the right side of the Timeline window, and select Make Frames From Layers.

Step 4: Choose the frame duration.


Under each frame, select how long it should appear before switching to the next frame. Then, at the bottom of the toolbar, select how many times you’d like it to loop.

Step 5: Preview your GIF. 


Before saving your GIF, you can preview your GIF by pressing the play icon. 

Step 6: Save your GIF! 


Go to File->Save For Web…and press Save again. 

and Voila! Your GIF is ready.
